As co-founder, President and CEO of EDEN Living – Jay S. Jacobson, over his 30- year career in the multifamily industry, has developed over 25,000 multifamily units and invested in/acquired over 40,000 units in over 30 submarkets in 22 cities nationwide. Prior to forming EDEN Living with Jay Massirman, Mr. Jacobson served as the President of Stiles Residential Group in Fort Lauderdale and is a former national partner with Wood Partners. He was also a senior director of multifamily investments for Goldman Sachs Real Estate Services (fka Archon Group) and a managing director of Archstone Communities Trust. During his career, Mr. Jacobson has been involved in the oversight of over $5 billion in multifamily investment.

Mr. Massirman is co-founder of and serves as COO for EDEN Living. Jay is an experienced real estate professional that has been in the industry for almost 30 years. Jay also serves as Founder & CEO of Rivergate Companies, a multifaceted real estate investment firm actively engaged in multifamily development & investment, self storage development & investment, and luxury residential property management.
Prior to forming Rivergate Companies in 2007, Jay spent 20 years with CBRE, a global real estate service provider. As a Vice Chairman he was a perennial top producer and actively involved in the sale and financing of more than 400 transactions including over 76,000 multifamily units with an aggregate value in excess of $10 billion.

Marc Chasin serves as the VP of Capital Markets & Acquisitions at EDEN Living and as Vice President for JV partner, Rivergate Companies. Marc’s responsibilities include organizing and coordinating with team members, partners and clients, and serving as a liaison for Rivergate’s partners including EDEN Living, multifamily development firm EDEN Multifamily, self-storage development and investment firm MCSS Properties, and multifamily property management firm RKW Residential. Marc is utilized through various levels of participation at Rivergate Companies including acquisitions, client relations, corporate strategy, deal structure, development, asset management, dispositions and more. Marc has been and is currently involved in the development of nearly 1,500 multifamily units, the development and acquisition of ~ 1,000,000 Sq Ft of self-storage, and in the facilitation of new business and client relations for luxury multifamily property management firm and Rivergate Companies affiliate, RKW Residential.
Marc earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration concentrating in Finance from Ithaca College, where he also spent four years as a starting guard on the basketball team – three of them as team captain. He finished his Ithaca career as fourth all-time in points scored and tenth all-time in assists.
Marc is a native of Miami. He naturally loves boating, beaching, fishing, and all other activities related to the water.

Humberto Vanegas currently serves as CFO of Rivergate Companies and brings over fifteen years of industry experience to the position. He established his local expertise with various Miami-based firms such as Newgard Development Group, CC Devco, and Related Group, developing a specialized knowledge of South Florida markets. Incorporating this experience with his skills in accounting, budgeting and financing, Humberto brings unparalleled insight into Rivergate Companies’ projects.
Facets of Humberto’s daily responsibilities prior to Rivergate Companies includes cash management, accounting and reporting, coordination of tax returns and audits, establishing controls, project financing, establishing budgets and ensuring their execution, project analyzation and real estate closings.
Prior to his entrance into the business world, Humberto earned a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting, as well as his Masters in Accounting from Florida International University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Real Estate Sales License. Humberto lives in Miami and when not counting beans, spends most of his spare time with his wife and two young children.

Tia Jessee serves as the Vice-President of Development for both EDEN Living and EDEN Multifamily, and brings over 20 years of residential real estate development experience to EDEN, having directly managed the development of over 2,000 units throughout South Florida. Ms. Jessee previously worked with Wood Partners for 10 years as a development manager in the South Florida office, overseeing all aspects of ground-up development for numerous institutional quality, market-rate multifamily projects including Red Road Commons in Miami, Alta Congress in Delray Beach, Alta Commons in Jupiter, and Alta Pines in Palm Beach Gardens. While at Wood Partners she also managed the development of luxury condominiums and numerous condo conversions throughout the South Florida market. She most recently oversaw the development and construction of EDEN’s Lazul project in North Miami Beach.
Ms. Jessee attended the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from Florida International University. She is an active member of ULI and currently serves as an Assistant Chair on the ULI Florida Product Council’s Multi-Family Development Council. She lives in Lighthouse Point with her husband and three children.

Jerry serves as a Vice President of Development for both EDEN Living and EDEN Multifamily, and brings over 8 years of residential real estate development experience to EDEN, having managed the development of over 1,000 units throughout Florida. Jerry previously worked at SH communities as a development associate, overseeing construction of apartments and single family homes. Jerry attended Bentley University where he earned a B.S. in Finance. He also attended Babson University where he earned an MSEL degree from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.

Jacky Sasson was born in Bogota, Colombia and was raised in Miami, Florida. He attended Babson College in Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, and studied abroad in Shanghai, China which added to his business acumen.
Previously, Mr. Sasson worked at New Wave Loans, a private hard money lender, where he underwrote over $30M in both commercial and residential assets; MAS Development, where he participated in the acquisition, entitlement, and development of more than 4 million square feet of commercial and residential development; and Forestar Group (NYSE: FOR) where he led the acquisition and entitlement for residential projects.
Mr. Sasson currently serves as Director of Land Acquisition for both EDEN Living and Eden Multifamily, supporting the companies across a number of categories including but not limited to: land acquisition, valuation, market analysis, underwriting, operations, negotiations, financial modeling and the entitlement process.

Antonio Sevillano serves as the Director of Construction for both EDEN Living and Eden Multifamily. Tony is an experienced construction professional with over 16 years in the industry. He has worked on a variety of construction projects including, sports team arenas, healthcare, public schools, university, residential, storage, airport, and commercial. Prior to joining EDEN Tony worked with Mr. Massirman at Miami City Self Storage as their Construction Manager.
He has also worked with Miami based developers S2 Development and Property Markets Group as VP of Construction and Construction Manager respectively.
Prior to moving to the development side of the industry Tony started his construction career with Arellano OHL as a project engineer working in the healthcare and educational sector. Mr. Sevillano was an assistant project manager at Pavarini Construction SE – education division building new Miami Dade Public School ground up high school projects. Most recently, he worked with specialty general contractor Golden Sands General Contracting and MGM General Contracting as a Project Manager and Superintendent building for Bank of America, The Miami Heat, and Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
Mr. Sevillano holds a BS from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a MS from Florida International University School of Engineering – Construction Management

As Director of Operations at Rivergate Companies, Dana focuses on expediting day to day projects to assure continuity of job completion. He coordinates and follows through from inception to completion any project that the team puts on high priority. Background training includes a Business degree in Management and a prior 25 year stint from truck driver to President of a NYC based building supply Distributor in the Building Materials business with 3 locations, 24 employees and a fleet of tractor trailer and flatbed trucks- he sweated his way to the top.
Drew Massirman currently serves as an Associate & Research Analyst for Rivergate Companies and our joint venture partnerships such as EDEN Living, multifamily development firm EDEN Multifamily, self-storage development and investment firm MCSS Properties, and multifamily property management firm RKW Residential. Drew is involved in various aspects of operation such as land acquisition, research, development, and asset management, and also holds a Real Estate Sales License.
Drew attended the University of Miami where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics with minors in Entrepreneurship and Architecture. Drew spent a portion of his education studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, where he developed an appreciation for European architecture and culture.
Drew is a native of Miami. He is an avid lover of fitness, cars, sports, travel and all water-related activities.

AnaMilena Pareja serves as the Administrative and Financial Assistant for Rivergate Companies. She brings over 18 years of experience in multiple administrative and financial fields while working for various companies.
She started her career in General Telecom, where she started as an Accounts Payable and over the course of 8 years she ended as the Billing and Cost Analyst before moving on to Swiftreach Networks Inc. where she expanded upon her Administrative experience as the Office Administrator and Personal Assistant to the president.
AnaMilena started her experience in Real Estate when she moved from New York to Miami and started working at Newgard Development Group as Staff Accountant for Humberto Vanegas for 4 years. During this time she develop skills in preparation of Financial Reports, budget performance and property management.
Prior to moving to Rivergate, AnaMilena worked at Related Group as Contract Administrator Assistant before being invited by Humberto Vanegas to be part of the team at Rivergate.
